I am writing to ask for support in the Republican Primary on September 12th. My name is Bob Pinney and I would like to be nominated for the Sherburne Town Clerk position.
I am fortunate at this time of my life, to be able to give back to the community. My wife Grace and I are lifelong residents and active members in the community. We operate “No Problem Liquor”, “Timekeepers Scrapbooking” and “Pinney’s American Karate”. The Clerk’s office is steps away from the businesses and it is exciting to think that I could be involved with the town and not have a commute every day.
I am preparing to retire from Colgate University and ready to start a new chapter in my life. My 40 year career has been in computer and instrument support. Small business management has also given me the skills to perform the duties of Town Clerk. Updating and maintaining a Town website would be an exciting goal and digitizing paper files would be a benefit to all of us.
I am enthusiastic about getting to know even more residents of Sherburne when they come in to get marriage, dog, hunting and fishing licenses or to just shoot the breeze! Even if you cannot support me, please come and vote. The voting will take place at the American Legion on Tuesday, September 12th, 12:00pm – 9:00pm
